Senior Automation QC Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated tests.
  • Apply analytical skills to ensure that the right things are tested in the most appropriate way.
  • Play a key role in managing the backlog of defects.
  • Develop test plans within the context of cross-functional teams.
  • Perform manual testing such as: Testing software during and after development.; Testing of improvements and defect resolution; Exploratory testing; Regression testing; User acceptance testing.
  • Collaborate with others to define and resolve issues in advance of frequent releases.
  • Actively participate in the product development life cycle to help achieve the best quality outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manually tested operations.
  • Other duties, reasonably associated with the role, as requested by the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience with both manual and automation testing.
  • Deep knowledge of various testing frameworks and best practices to ensure high standards of software quality.
  • Advanced knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar, with an ability to identify and implement enhancements for improved test coverage and efficiency.
  • Strong programming abilities in languages to develop and maintain complex test scripts focused on long-term sustainability and adaptability.
  • Expertise in integrating automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar, to streamline quality checks throughout the development cycle.
  • Showcase exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in optimizing existing automated tests and addressing complex automation challenges.
