Challenge
With the success of the Skribenta app, Excosoft took a step forward by kick-starting a new project on developing an improved website for this technical document management system. In addition, the company would like to maintain and enhance the current Skribenta app.
It would require multiple technologies and additional development resources to conduct these projects for Skribenta, so Excosoft considered expanding its development team with more qualified developers. In addition to expertise and experience, the extended team had to be flexible to scale up and down due to the ever-changing situation and workload.
Excosoft had researched various software outsourcing service providers on the Internet and approached some for collaboration, including Orient Software and a Chinese firm. After working together for over two months and testing out the services on various projects, Excosoft decided on Orient Software as its strategic IT partner due to our reliable source of expertise and IT workforce.
Solution
In response to the expectation and requirements from Excosoft, Orient Software assembled a dedicated team of four full-stack developers who are solid and experienced. Our team would work closely with Exocsoft via daily virtual meetings to discuss specifications, get tasks and receive feedback.
As planned, the primary goal of the team is to support Excosoft in developing a new website for Skribenta while maintaining and optimizing the current Skribenta app.
Orient’s team assessed the current Skribenta website carefully and came up with recommendations to develop and optimize its UI/UX design. We also worked with the counterpart to arrange the time and resources for maintaining the Skribenta app while building the new website at the same time. Since we prepared a good plan initially, we managed to balance between projects to guarantee both deadlines and quality. The technologies implemented in these projects for Excosoft included Java, Pure Javascript, MongoDB, ReactJS, and AngularJS.
Impact
