Orient Software Supporting Quang Binh Communities After the Storms
Nov 27th, 2020 – Orient Software had a volunteer trip in Quang Binh, Vietnam, to help our employees bring donations and necessary goods to the people living here. In addition, the trip also received support and donations from His Eminence Tulku Neten Rinpoche, and Vietnamese from overseas, especially America.
Due to the large storms and floods recently, the schools in Quang Binh are all submerged as the water rises up to 2-meter-high; books and school supplies are all lost under the water, and many people’s possessions were swept away and the mental damage cannot be measured.
During the volunteer trip on November 27, 2020, Orient Software awarded 50 scholarships to students with difficulties so that they can continue going to school after the natural disaster. Orient also donated to local primary and secondary schools so that the schools can repair and restore the infrastructure damaged by the floods and storms.
Although it is a small gift, Orient still hopes that small things combined can make a big thing, the good will is what matters, and students in Quang Binh can continue going to school like before. We understand that it is vital for students to be able to learn and communicate in a well-equipped environment to better their studies, and we want to try our best to support that.
The gifts were also hand-delivered to the people of Quang Tan, Quang Minh, Quang Loc in Quang Trach, Quang Binh. Orient was overwhelmed by everyone’s hospitality and sincerity despite their troubles and problems, and we are genuinely happy to help them through this hard time.
